REFLECTIONS

WEEK ONE

- due to the lockdown, i've had to change my project which is a bit of a pain but what can you do. I've decided to make a cardigan inspired by the one Harry Styles wore on the today show. The cardigan is by JW Anderson and i'm following a pattern posted by them. I am, however, changing it slightly so that it fits me and is easier to make. I don't think it'll be too hard as the pattern looks pretty simple and i've done two squares in the past two days. The squares are super messy but i'll probably redo them in the future and it's definitely going to get a lot easier as i keep going.

WEEK FIVE

I've done quite a few squares since week one. They've definitely gotten better as i've been going which is great because the first few i did were shocking. It is taking longer than i thought though due to school and me procrastinating a lot. I want to finish all the squares within two weeks and then have it all put together within three. Realistically, i doubt i will reach this goal but i hope i do.

WEEK TEN

i have finished all the squares and am now working on the ribbing and sleeve cuffs. I didn't reach my three week goal but that's fine because i'd rather not rush the squares and have them look good than get them done fast and be full of holes and what not. I think it'll be done pretty soon

WEEK TWELVE

I have finally finished the cardigan and I'm super happy with it. It hasn't fallen apart yet and by the looks of it, i don't think it will fall apart ever which is great. Sewing it all together was really easy and while it's a bit messy on the inside, you can't see any of the stitches on the outside. By no stretch of the imagination is it perfect but it's certainly not bad for a first shot at it.
